Our research team continues to gather stories of the men from the Waihi region who served overseas in WW 1. See our Museum and Research section for WW1 stories, to read about these men who left the town to go and serve in a foreign country, some never to return. As the years roll by, and now that we will soon be commemorating 100 years since the landing at Gallipoli, it is timely that these stories are shared.
If you have a family story you would like to share on-line, please contact our research team at firstname.lastname@example.org .
